with free seating on a first-come first-served basis.
Opening Ceremony
July 22, 7:00pm McLeod Athletic Park
The Opening Ceremony marks an exciting kick off to the Games. McLeod Athletic Park will be filled with participants for this first major event of the Games. The Ceremony will begin with a parade of British Columbia's finest young athletes and continue with fantastic local entertainment lined up to perform for a crowd of 10 000, followed by the lighting of the torch. Let the Games begin!
Closing Ceremony
July 25, 1:30pm Langley Events Centre
After three days of competition, the athletes will gather in the Langley Events Centre one last time for the Closing Ceremony. This will be a great opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments before they say good bye to their friends and return to their communities. Come celebrate with us!
Volunteer Appreciation Event
July 26, 6:00pm - 10:00pm Langley Events Centre
We salute all of the hard-working dedicated volunteers who make the Games possible. Sit back, relax, enjoy or get up and dance to the energetic musical stage performance of the incredible Timebenders who will take you on a musical journey from the 50’s to the 80’s!
All accredited volunteers are invited to attend this exciting event.
Athlete Special Events
For all of the BC Summer Games athletes who would like to receive a free download of 30 songs from Ken McCoy who played at the Country Dance on Saturday night, please go to www.mccoycountry.com to download your free songs compliments of Ken McCoy – just email Ken from the website, type in “B.C.
